AI & Automated Processing

What this means
Our search and scoring features are rule-based and statistical. We do not use generative AI, and we do not train AI models on your data.
The plain answer
Some features in Clapleads Atlas look like "AI". This page explains exactly what they are, because honesty matters more to us than buzzwords: our automated features are rule-based and statistical, not generative AI.
Natural-language search
You can type a search like "software companies in Germany with 50 to 200 employees" and the platform turns it into filters. This works through deterministic keyword and pattern matching — a fixed mapping of words like countries, industries, sizes, and technologies to filter values. The same words always produce the same filters. No language model reads your search, and your search text is not sent to any AI provider.
Scoring and lookalikes
Some records carry scores (for example, how strongly a company matches a B2B or SaaS profile), and the lookalike feature finds companies similar to ones you pick. These are statistical calculations over fields already in the database — industry, size, technology, location, and similar attributes. They are estimates to help you sort and explore, not facts. Always check before acting on them.
What we don't do
- We do not use generative AI or large language models anywhere in the product.
- We do not generate content, emails, or messages for you.
- We do not train AI models on your account data, your searches, or your exports.
- We do not send your data to third-party AI providers.
If any of this changes, we will update this page first and say so clearly — including what data would be involved and what choices you would have.
Automated decisions and your rights
Under the GDPR (Article 22), people have rights around decisions made solely by automation that have legal or similarly significant effects. Clapleads Atlas does not make such decisions about anyone. Scores and search rankings are decision support for our customers — a human decides whether and how to act on them.
If you are in the database and object to automated processing of your data, you can object or ask for deletion at any time — see the next section.
Questions and objections
To object to processing, or to ask to see, correct, or delete data about you, use the data request portal — no account needed. For anything else, reach us through the support page.

Questions or requests
If anything on this page is unclear, or you want to act on your rights, you can reach us through the support page. To ask about data we hold on you or your business, use the data request portal — no account is needed.
Data protection contact
For data-protection matters — access, correction, deletion, objection, portability, or “do not sell” requests under GDPR/CCPA — the fastest route is the data request portal, which is logged and tracked to completion. Identity is verified before any personal data is disclosed.
