Terms of Use

Effective June 11, 2026 · Last updated June 11, 2026

What this means

You can use Clapleads Atlas for your own business lead generation. You own your account, you are responsible for how you contact people, and you may not resell or redistribute the database.

Who can use the service

Clapleads Atlas is a business tool. By using it you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and using it for business purposes — your own or your employer's. It is not intended for personal or household use, and not directed at children.

By creating an account, signing in, or using the service, you agree to these terms and the policies they link to. If you use the service for an organization, you confirm you have authority to accept these terms for it.

Your account

  • Give accurate information when you register and keep it current.
  • Keep your password and API keys secret. We recommend turning on two-factor authentication in your profile settings.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us right away through the support page if you think your account has been compromised.
  • You can deactivate your account at any time by asking us through the support page.

Plans, credits, and billing

The service runs on subscription plans with monthly export credits. Searching is free; exporting spends 1 credit per record. Paid plans renew automatically until you cancel, and cancelling keeps your plan active until the end of the paid period.

The full details — prices, renewals, regional pricing, refunds, failed payments, and taxes — live in Billing, Renewals & Refunds, which is part of these terms.

Your license to exported data

When you export records, we give you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use them for your own business purposes — lead generation, sales, marketing, recruiting, and research. This license lets you load exports into your own CRM and tools, and share them with service providers working on your behalf.

It does not let you:

  • resell, publish, or redistribute the data;
  • use it to build or improve a competing data product;
  • keep using records after we tell you they were removed for legal reasons (for example, a deletion request).

How you use exported data must follow the laws that apply to you — see the Acceptable Use Policy. You are the controller of data you export: suppression lists, audit logs, and the data request tools help you stay compliant, but your outreach is your responsibility.

Acceptable use

The Acceptable Use Policy is part of these terms. In short: use the data lawfully, respect opt-outs, do not scrape or resell the database, and do not work around credits, seats, or rate limits.

API use

If you use the API, the API Terms also apply — keys, rate limits, and prohibited automation.

Our intellectual property

The platform — its software, design, branding, and the selection and arrangement of the database — belongs to us or our licensors. These terms give you a right to use the service, not ownership of any part of it. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without obligation to you.

Data accuracy

The database is built from publicly available business information at very large scale. We work to keep it accurate and fresh, but we cannot promise that any record is complete, current, or correct. Records may be outdated or wrong. Verify before you rely on them for anything important.

No warranty

The service and the data are provided "as is"and "as available", without warranties of any kind — express or implied — including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Some places do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so parts of this may not apply to you.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows: we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill; and our total liability for all claims connected to the service is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim (or $50 if you paid nothing).

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited — such as for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold us harmless from claims, damages, and costs (including reasonable legal fees) that arise from your use of the service or exported data in breach of these terms or the law — for example, outreach that violates anti-spam or data protection rules.

Suspension and termination

You can stop using the service and deactivate your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially break these terms or the policies they include, if the law requires it, or to protect the service or other users. For serious abuse we may act immediately; otherwise we try to warn you first. Sections that by their nature should survive — like the data license limits, disclaimers, liability limits, and indemnification — survive termination.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the place where the operator of this service is established, unless the law where you live gives you mandatory protections that apply anyway. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that place.

If you have a problem, please contact us first through the support page — most issues can be fixed quickly without formality.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. If a change is significant, we will give notice — in the app or by email — before it takes effect. The "Last updated" date at the top always shows the current version. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.

Questions or requests

If anything on this page is unclear, or you want to act on your rights, you can reach us through the support page. To ask about data we hold on you or your business, use the data request portal — no account is needed.

Data protection contact

For data-protection matters — access, correction, deletion, objection, portability, or “do not sell” requests under GDPR/CCPA — the fastest route is the data request portal, which is logged and tracked to completion. Identity is verified before any personal data is disclosed.
